How did you start to play ice hockey?
I started playing inline hockey when I was about 10-11 years old. I found out about ice hockey from a friend who I met playing inline, so I decided to give ice hockey a try and have never looked back.
Who are your Ice Hockey influences/role models and why?
I love watching Ryan Callahan from the New York Rangers. I think he has so much heart and always seems to put in that extra 10% to carry his team.
Do you have any techniques/skills that enable you to perform better on the ice?
I'm a huge music lover so I'm always listening to something that will pump me up or get me in a good mood to play.
What do you do besides Ice Hockey in your spare time?
I love most sports in general but if I'm not playing ice hockey, I'm normally watching the NHL and following it day by day. I also love to rock climb, jog and spear fish.
How did you hear about Perth Thunder and what made you want to play for them?
I heard about Perth Thunder around 2010 when my twin brother and I came back to Australia after playing over in Finland. Stan Scott approached David and I and asked us to try out for the team.
Which AIHL team do you think has the most chance of winning the Goodall Cup in 2013 (besides Thunder)?
I think it’s hard to tell at the start of a season. Hockey is such an unpredictable sport so its pretty hard to just throw a team name out but if I had to name one, maybe the Newcastle North Stars.
Anything else you would like to share?
I would just like to give our team physio Dave Tran a mention since he looks after the team (and me especially in the last year) so well. He's always willing to put in that extra time and come to practice early to strap us all up and make sure we are all in the best condition to play as possible.
